A quiet floor-based practice where time, support and stillness do much of the work.

    Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga uses supported postures held for several minutes to gently load connective tissues and create space around the hips, spine and shoulders. The practice is less about achieving a shape and more about meeting sensation with patience.

Props and variations make it possible to find an appropriate edge without force.

Best for: recovery, mobility, stress relief and people who need a counterpoint to fast-paced movement or daily life.

Studio offering: 60 minutes · all levels · $30 drop-in when listed on the timetable.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is Yin the same as restorative yoga?

Both use support and slower pacing, but Yin applies a gentle, sustained load to connective tissues.

Sensation can be present, but sharp pain is never the goal and adjustments are always encouraged.

Many people value Yin as a slower complement to active training.

Comfortable layers are helpful because the body may cool during longer holds.
